Career Videos on CareerOneStop

About

Browse CareerOneStop's video collection to learn about careers, career clusters, skills and abilities, and more!

Career Videos: Explore CareerOneStop's collection of videos on hundreds of different careers! Career videos are organized into 16 clusters, or related types of work. Videos include career details such as typical work tasks and settings, educational requirements, and helpful qualities for almost 900 different occupations. Some closely related occupations are grouped together so that a single video may profile more than one occupation. Each career video is approximately 90 seconds in length.

Career Cluster Videos: Career clusters are groupings of related careers. They can help you quickly see a broad range of job options that rely on similar skills and knowledge. When you gain work experience and credentials within a cluster, those skills can help you advance in a variety of related careers. There are two videos for each career cluster: the first is an overview of the cluster and associated industries' functions, size, and trends, while the second video provides a description of occupations available at different levels of education and training in that cluster. These videos reflect Advance CTE's revised career cluster framework.

Skill and Ability Videos: Skills and abilities are faculties that you have, or talents that you develop through experience and training. Check out these videos to learn about the skills and abilities employers are looking for in job candidates. Each video also includes examples of careers that require the skills or abilities discussed.

Career video content is based on data from the Occupational Outlook Handbook from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, and O*NET OnLine, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration.
